About 800 years ago this planet saw the Great Conjunction of Jupiter and Saturn overlap to form a double planet and it was labeled the “Christmas Star”. If you want to view this remarkable phenomena go to Flushing Meadows Corona Park where the Winter Solstice can be viewed on the southwest horizon about an hour after sunset.
